Bio

Warren Woodson is a man of many…

…Many what?  You name it!

Warren is also known throughout the state by many names – WoodyWoodson, Mo Woodson, Woodman, the Human Jukebox and a few others we won’t mention, just in case the kiddies are reading.

Shout out any song at a Warren Woodson show, and odds are he’ll play it for you.  If not, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t know it. He is probably too caught up in teaching Rock ‘n’ Roll History 101 to stray from the evening’s curriculum.  On any given night you might hear songs from the early 1950s up to the new hit song that was playing during your drive to the show. It really doesn’t matter what station you were listening to, because Warren culls his playlist from a multitude of genres.  (There’s that “many” theme again!)  He can be heard playing Rock, Country & Western, Folk, and adding his distinct voice and interpretation to R ‘n’ B, Reggae, Metal and more.

Warren is Jersey’s hardest working entertainer. He can still be found at some local pubs with his acoustic guitar, occasionally singing drinking songs, or at a wedding dressed in his best tuxedo singing romantic ballads. Hear him at restaurants, playing in the background to provide just the right epicurean atmosphere, or at your local club makin’ ’em dance with his electric band, the Bahama Mamas, or with his project, keyboard-based Shades of Gray.  He may be serenading while you’re marinating at your next BBQ, or singing on the hippest float of your town’s July 4th parade.

If you got the gig, honey, he’s got the tunes!
